AUSTIN, TX – APRIL 20, 2012 – Garbage announced today that they regretfully must postpone shows this weekend in Houston, TX on April 20th at House of Blues and Austin, TX on April 21st at La Zona Rosa due to a medical emergency involving the family member of someone in the band. The band will reschedule these dates so please stay tuned for an announcement of the make up dates in the near future. Garbage will appear at Waterloo Records for a signing on April 21st for Record Store Day, and has every intention of performing at KDGE’s EDGEFEST in Frisco, TX this Sunday, April 22nd at the FC Dallas Stadium.

Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis explains, “After having worked aggressively with doctors and physical therapists for the last eight weeks to repair the damage, the intensity of the injury and time needed to heal has made it impossible to play the shows as scheduled. There was hope up until the last minute that the treatments would be successful.  Sincerest apologies go out to those who have made plans and bought tickets.  Eddie is frustrated beyond measure, but remains positive that come this summer all will be back in good form.”
